COLLABORATE TO INVIGORATE

The Yass Valley Business Chamber has a proud tradition of over 100 years. We aim to support and grow a sustainable business community in the Yass Valley, which we achieve in several ways. 
We provide a forum where local people in business can learn, share and have their voices heard. We also welcome associate members from community groups and not-for-profit organisations.


We promote tourism, which is key to advancing our shire, and ensuring the future of our local economy and access to services.

PURPOSE

We volunteer our time and talents to bring businesses in the Yass Valley together and to promote the Yass Valley to others, to help our local economy and support the Yass Valley community.

Government Engagement

  • Be the voice of local business to government;
  • Represent local business on individual and collective matters;
  • Work with local government on policy formation and implementation;
  • Actively seek government and non-government grants.


Risks

  • Economic downturn;
  • Divergence with Council;
  • Lack of a Yass Valley identity (seen as part of Canberra).
